ECRI was very clear. They predicted we'd be in a recession by mid-2012 and they've since clarified they believe the recession actually started in July 2012. NBER won't weigh in until 2013 sometime. When NBER weighs in, then we'll know who was right. I find it somewhat ignorant of you to carry on the way you do. You seem to willingly avoid the way recessions are called and what contributes to a recession call. If you are investing based on this kind of thinking, then I feel sorry for you. Investing with emotion based on the way you hope the world is leads to inferior results. I'd prefer to invest based on what the data is telling us.
