Any reason why the .223 Bushmaster is still legal?

Good quality, American made, reliable product - no reason to be illegal.
Wasn't the rifle recovered from the trunk of his car, i.e. not even used - he was found with a glock and a sig sauer handgun though inside the school.

I'm just thinking that maybe it should be a little harder for crazy people to get a hold of these kinds of weapons.

How do crazy people get to walk around let alone own guns?

Not been following this story closely, but expect I won't be able to avoid it on the news tonight. But my first thought is teachers son - probably a liberal gun owner who once again can't be trusted with firearms.

No, no...your buddy, Eric, believes all those 2nd Amendment "protected" weapons should be allowed to be carried concealed around places such as airports...why on earth shouldn't they be allowed in grade schools?

After all, that is what the Founders expected in their airports and grade schools with their muskets when they mentioned "a well regulated militia" back in the 18th Century.

We lose what, 15000 to drunk drivers each year? You want to know how many of those are children?

When you bring back prohibition, you can have my gun.

Deal?
