I don't think quality, reliability, or the fact that it's American-made matters in this circumstance. Nor does it matter whether the shooter was liberal or conservative.
Just like the brand or caliber does not matter - it's the fact someone decided to kill innocent people or children in this case - pure evil, no words can describe the contempt I have for this piece of shit.

The shooter could have been carrying automatic pistols and been just as deadly.
Correction - that would be semi-automatic and I read he had two on him, no rifle. But the reports so far have made several errors just identifying the shooter and showing wrong photos - reminds me of a white mexican a few months back.

I'm not sure I like the NRA solution to this tragedy, which is to arm the teachers.
Their idea was not to arm so much as to let schools decide what they would like to do and those people qualified, and I'd want required training for sure. The obvious fact is the teacher is in the classroom and the best first responder you have, then some form of school security and on up. Our local high school had armed police sitting in the parking lot most of the day. But it's obvious a gun free zone sign doesn't deter nor stop a crazy person intent on killing innocent children.

Now they are saying the .223 bushmaster wasn't used at the school. Two handguns were. All three weapons were registered to the mother.
