Here's a really cool analysis posted on the ASND thread regarding COMS future price action, one of the best I've seen, if I don't say so myself ;-))

Just my thoughts for everyone wondering what the price outlook for ASND and
COMS might be for the future. What follows is my very :-) technical analysis.
ANYONE who has followed stocks, especially tech stocks, should be able to relate.
1) Tech stocks very volitale
2) Tech stocks trade on outlook for the future (sometimes not realistic)
3) Greed overcomes fear, fear overcomes greed (repeat ad finitum (sp?))
4) WS does not like uncertainty
5) Stocks perform poorly when uncertainty is greatest, stocks perform
well when uncertainty is diminished (ref #2)
6) ASND has much uncertainty behind it, COMS soon to follow
7) Most tech stocks highs for any year are about twice that of the lows.
8) MANY tech stocks seem to be reaching lows now, look at the charts
for stocks like WDC, NVLS, ASND many other examples.
9) Ask yourself the question, will the prices of these stocks be at 50 percent of current
levels or 200 percent of current levels in, say,
12-24 months.
10) Unless we have a war, major recession, major bear market, I'm betting the answer
to #9 is 200 percent
11) ANYBODY who says ANY tech stock will "stay at this level for x months" is
simply out of his F#$%ing mind!!! Tech stocks just don't stay at any given level for that
long. They either go up or down, hopefully if you're long they go up, odds are they will
at some point in time. For ASND, $80 may be a little ambitious near term, but I see no
reason it can't go to at least $50 in 12-18 months on normal volatility alone. Good
luck!

Respectfully submitted, Chris

<< Craig, Crawford. Can you tell me what is in your opinion about ASND. >>

Wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole, but they will survive (and thrive) again one day.

<< Of BAY , CS , COMS and ASND can you rank them with future stock appreciation potential.
Or will they all die in the battle with CSCO >>

Even though C$CO is over-valued IMO (what isn't) if I had to purchase a networker and I couldn't touch it for 10 years C$CO would be it. Over the long-term money can be made with all those stocks you list but my second favorite isn't even on your list. My second favorite is MRVC.

They are small enough that you can make significant returns over the years and they never seem to disappoint. Off the top of my head all the networking companies have disappointed at one time or another this year except maybe C$CO----and MRVC. ASND, BAY, CSCC, CS, COMS, FORE, NN, XYLN, SHVA, NOVL, etc have all had disappointments.
