Cell phone companies were all losers before Apple developed the iPhone. They had the guts to put some technology to actually make the wireless web go from dial up speeds to warp speed with enough battery power to keep them rolling all day.

The potential for Smart TV is already there. The next TV I buy will be a reflection of my computer or cell phone. Best Buy already has a lot of Smart TV's with cameras and wifi, but no real OS to make them useful. However, a lot of them are probably compatible with Android.

Apple has a lock on TV potential. I haven't bought a new TV in 5 or 6 years because the OSX or Windows 8 isn't there. I see a perfect opportunity for Apple to make a great TV with everything built in. I wouldn't rule out a subsidized TV market in the future with cable companies like Comcast. Instead of paying $15 a month for cable boxes, they might be offering $400 Apple TV's with the cable box built in for 2 year contracts. Cloud TV will be the next step.
