in another forum, I argued the point that "alcohol" is the cause of MUCH more devastation than guns, so why not ban that? After two days of NO REPLY, finally, one of the liberal minds offered, "We tried banning that, and it didn't work." Which of course, is what I wanted them to see about guns as well. Ban them, and you end up with much more devastating weapons smuggled in and sold into the worst hands in the country. You eventually end up living like countries in the Middle East, with Dictators abusing most of the people, and scumbags abusing the rest. One asked, "What would you do about alcohol problems?" I offered the selling of their car and donating to MADD the proceeds on any offense and the death penalty for those drunk who kill someone. Eventually, people know the law and statistics begin to go down on abuse. Same with guns. Just keep the laws. Use a gun in a crime, and everyone present gets the death penalty. Might keep people from hanging out with anyone with a gun who might use it in a bad way. Finally, I get this question from the typical liberal mind: "I used to play tennis with a woman whose daughter was 1 point over the blood limit. She was driving home from her high school graduation party and killed a man on a motorcycle whose alcohol level showed he was out of his mind drunk. So this beautiful 18 year old girl (actually she was homecoming queen) ended up serving two years in Joe Arpaio's tent city. Your solution would have been to forget about the jail and have her executed immediately. Do I have that right?" And this was my answer, which is the main point of this long read: The point WAS -- IF she had known the law was DEATH from years earlier, if that had been in her head leading up to that point in her life, if she had watched on the news several people lethally injected for drunk driving, she probably would not have been drinking and driving at all. She probably would have remembered those images and called for a driver or let someone who had not been drinking drive. Liberals ALWAYS try to politicize or bring up some story THEY know PERSONALLY, and they vote and make huge decisions affecting vast numbers and the solvency of the country based on that tiny sample and "feeling." That's why we are doomed now. Buried in debt. Overrun by illegals. Addicted as a nation to alcohol. 50% entitled and simply surviving. The Republic collapsing. Rights being trashed for the hope of "safety." A REPUBLIC works IF those in charge follow it. A Democracy leads to mob rule and eventually a totalitarian state full of automatons. Those in charge already have a great start with about 1/2 the country as basically mindless zombies who cannot think on their on anymore. This began in earnest with Bush I who used the term "NWO" several hundred times to condition the masses to what was coming. It's been perpetrated by every set in DC since that time, and now we are probably very close to them fulfilling their goals. It would not surprise me in the least to see the tragedies escalate and continue until the populace at large cries for the gov't to do ANYTHING to make it stop. And the sheeple keep eating grass and ignoring what is really happening around them.
