In Florida, where I live , the bottom 10% income group pays more as a percent of income in state and local taxes than the top 10% income group pays. Not all states have such regressive taxes but many do.

Could you be just a little bit more specific? "A lot of the taxes" doesn't really explain what you're referring to. I included the taxes reportable in the federal income tax return.

Also, Romney would not have been at 9% had he deducted all the charitable money.
