Folks should never consider their primary residence as an asset. In essence it really is a liability unless you catch a dramatic high appreciation cycle and cash out or eventually downsize into a much lower priced property and invest the remaining proceeds into something that actually cash flows in YOUR pocket<g>. The GWB Ownership Society using home equity extraction and trading up as our economy was the biggest scam in modern times even surpassing the Iraq war IMHO..
