Incompatibility Issues Plague DVD Titles
Recent testing by Intel revealed that--despite the availability of DVD-ROM-equipped drives--many DVD software titles are running with problems, or not running at all. Sixty-six percent of the titles tested used MPEG-2 video compression and in turn proved incompatible with some decoders. Of the one-third that did not use MPEG-2 compression, 95 percent were compatible with multiple drives. (408/765-8080; intel.com)
