It is certainly possible to define "tax burden" in such a way as to produce misleading analyses, by including taxes that have nothing to do with income -- e.g., cigarette, gasoline, sales and other taxes.

I don't understand what's misleading...taxes are taxes...

This tax is flat; neither regressive nor progressive.

Not really...let's use romney as an example...he paid 7 x 100ths of 1 % of his taxes in sef employed payroll taxes. The self employed earner of 110K paid 15.3%...not regressive?

And now, you and other liberals, are looking for someone else to pay the bill.

That's a different argument...not the one we were talking about. Your side has been trying to underfund/defund this thing for so long...part of the blame for its condition rests with your side as well.

What happens when the wealthy run out of money? Of course, the wealthy will pack their shit and get out before that happens.

Too much drama...taxes have been much higher in our history....no one has packed their bags and left....
