No. I don't think you can profile these people (because you'd include way too many loner boys playing video games)- though I do think we SHOULD listen to parents who are fearful of their children's mental state, and give them hotlines and immediate humane help- maybe a "safe turn in" site for children or young adults who seem to be in crisis or near it (rather like the safe surrender sites for babies- which has pretty much stopped babies being killed from exposure). I think we need to help everyone, and hope we help the ones who would hurt society most, on the way to doing the right thing, and helping all. I don't want parents to have as their only option police intervention and the criminal system- because then, imo, we've waited much to long to intervene. We need to give a lot more help, a lot more humanely, and a lot more quickly.
