I own guns, they aren't for hunting, and I sincerely hope I never kill a human with one. I hope just having the gun would prevent that. If I did have to fire, I'd shoot to wound first - I'm an excellent shot.

My youngest brother loves to hunt; has several guns for such. But he is as adamant on gun control issues as I am. And I suspect will be even more vocal now. He has a grandson he loves very much, the age of the children killed in Conn. My guess is he will donate more money to gun control/gun safety movements. And publicly support them.
