Good luck getting help for someone like this. The idea most of have of the psychiatrist is long since gone; today, they are mere pharmaceutical dispensing agents having little or no contact with patients, replaced by minimally skilled "counselors". I know of one clinic that employs more than 45 such counselors -- working with TWO physicians to see thousands of patients. Every single one on Medicaid. I don't know whether people who are unfamiliar with the practice can read between the lines of the last sentence in the above paragraph.
