"More bloody", is inaccurate for it is relative when you exmine history. One sees thru all from revolutions of ideaolgies of polytheism to monothesism to marxism or fascism or the French revolution & American , the same eruptions of "Nature" working her way thru, thus providing the early necessity of conjuring up that deep amorphous "truth" so conveniently to fit the rule of being a fallen world tarnished in Original Sin. That would include little children as well, even zygotes are fallen sinners, one has to be consistent or put the ball down.
