Actually, Bob, I've already given my age on a previous post. You know, if you wanted to you could search my name and find out the degrees I won't admit to along with the location of my professional school years. My point is, though, who cares?

But the seventies were indeed the glory days of the good 'ole 714, before Lemmon started production. There was a weight loss script that you could get from your family doc:

Preludin which was an amphetamine to make you active and burn off those cals followed by a 714 to calm you down.

Lots of individuals would inform their docs that they lost their prescription and get another one filled. You'd think the docs would catch on to this...some did, but many did not.

I'm a product of the late sixties and seventies. It's too bad really, though. If I had been born at another time I might have been highly intelligent.

As for hoosier...I was born in Indiana, just outside of Indianapolis. My father was one of the 500s race docs for a few years--62 through 65 I believe.

Check out your University's medical school alumni classes going back a few years. Look up Holden in the directory which is available at the big library.
