Seven Secretaries of State Criticize Michelle Obama for Claiming GOP Voter Suppression Occurred in the 2012 Election

by Hans A. von Spakovsky 12/14/2012
pjmedia.com

Seven Secretaries of State have released a statement criticizing First Lady Michelle Obama for her false claim that Republicans engaged in voter suppression in the November election:

“Unfortunately the First Lady’s comments continue the baseless attacks that have been made upon those leaders who are simply taking reasonable steps to protect the security and integrity of elections. This past election speaks for itself.

In Arizona, a state that has a photo ID requirement, Hispanic voter turnout was the highest in the state’s history. In Georgia, African American turnout has remained high in each election after the state adopted its photo ID requirement in 2006. In Kansas, another state with a photo ID requirement, a minuscule .07 percent of voters neglected to bring their IDs to the polls and all were given provisional ballots and opportunity to provide photo identification later.

These examples reflect what is happening in every state that is taking steps to protect the integrity of elections. No voter is impeded from voting. And more voters become engaged in their elections because they have greater confidence their votes will be counted accurately and not cancelled out by illegal votes.

That is why Americans overwhelmingly favor photo ID and other election security measures.”

What else can you expect from the emperor’s wife? Anything that is done to prevent her husband from retaining his throne has to be evil and bad.

I think that we should immediately hold a recount of all ballots. Notice how on issues of free speech, liberals want conservatives to shut up while conservatives want liberals to keep talking. We know by now that eventually, if we let them talk enough, liberals will either shove their foot so far down their throats that they can’t breath or we will be presented with an opportunity to make them eat their words. I think it’s definitely time for Mooch to eat her words (Lord knows she eats everything else in sight)!!

The real issue in this election was the likely voter fraud consisting of many votes probably fraudulently cast for Obama, especially in swing states.

The lesson to be learned from the First Lady’s comments is that liberals, no matter how much they have, no matter how much control they have, no matter what will still try to be victims.

It’s time to stop cutting them slack and just do our best to see to it that they play by the same rules as everybody else.

Military voters on the other hand – yeah their vote was totally suppressed. And legitimate republican voters, yeah our vote was totally suppressed in our swing states by the high tidal wave of FRAUD that swamped our elections. Thanks for that, Michelle.

When I saw the headline of her statement I thought she was admitting that the dems cheated by bussing Somalians from Michigan into Ohio to vote. But then I read the story.

I think she should be taken so seriously that an investigation and total recount be initiated at the earliest possible time. This should include verification of all votes and voters on rolls. The election would become null and void, and a new one should be mounted immediately.

And Mrs. Obama should be careful what she asks of the government. I believe the results would be dramatically different because of what know (or don’t know) concerning Obamacare, Benghazi, the Arab Spring, failure to produce a budget.

Here’s where voter identification would allay her fears.

Absolutely spot on, we should keep after her, at least on the net, I have observed for decades that the Progs love to accuse of others what they, in fact, do.

“Voter suppression” is just another code word for racism. This trump card gets played whenever the user wants to deflect attention from something else.

Isn’t it strange that Dems always accuse people or institutions that oppose them of doing what they have been doing in every election since LBJ? How on this earth does a photo ID cause a problem for anyone trying to vote honestly? It looks like the foul odor from Obama has stuck to his wife.
