It doesn't matter what Sweden and Switzerland do, asshole. They don't have a problem with gun violence. The US does. If you can't understand that concept, then don't bother posting to me.

You're trying to change the subject.

LOL. No I am not. Sweden and Switzerland don't have a problem. We are the only western nation that does. And we have the most guns. There is a correlation whether you want to see it or not.

They don't have a problem with gun violence, but they have guns, just like we do. So, the question is why do WE have problems with gun violence but THEY don't. And the follow up question is what the hell makes you think guns are the problem, since having guns apparently doesn't consistently result in gun violence.

Dude, your pols didn't just fuck us with more guns and trickle down and teaper shit. Mr. dementia Reagan closed down the mental institutions and made it difficult to get mental aid. Its when the homeless populations began to grow in large numbers in this country. Rs have cut back education budgets so schools can't take very advanced steps with security. Its not just about guns.........its about the society you assholes have created the past 30 years.........always complaining about the money while starting war after war.

It is a fool's errand to pursue gun regulation when there is not any evidence that it would help solve the problem. We've banned assault weapons before with no measurable improvement in the problem. There is considerable evidence, like was pointed out to you in this thread, that limiting weapon accessibility offers no protection.

You're the fool. Maybe when it happens to a grandchild.......you might change your mind.

If someone will provide evidence that clearly shows the existence of guns are the problem, I'll support the banning of assault weapons. I just haven't seen that evidence at all.

Bullets kill. They come from guns. That's all the evidence a normal person would need. Unfortunately............

Switzerland......the military controls the guns.
Sweden...see below..
"They don't have a problem with gun violence, but they have guns, just like we do. So, the question is why do WE have problems with gun violence but THEY don't."
These are a couple of facts about the Swedish weapons law (vapenlagen): * You need to state the specific purpose for which you need a weapon, and the government has to approve of the purpose and the intended weapon.
* You need to register as a gun owner and have all your guns individually registered.
* The government can revoke your permit at any time without having to state a reason, and you have to allow the police access to the specially regulated storage locker you keep your weapons in at any time.
* Handguns are almost impossible to get permits for, and you have to be a member of a sports club and be an elite athlete. Any kind of automatic weapon is impossible to own unless you’re in the military. * If the police finds you in possession of a loaded firearm of any kind, you’re facing a minimum of six months in prison, quite a long sentence in the Swedish penal system.
* Even simple pepper sprays require permits that are almost impossible to get. * A history of psychiatric treatment may very well make it impossible for you to get any kind of a permit. What’s new now is that they’re attempting to make it a mandatory requirement to go through a psychiatric evaluation when applying for a permit.
