Actually, Obama narrowly won the Catholic vote apparently... despite (or perhaps partly because) a "rabid" sort of Catholic being on the Republican ticket. Catholics are interesting breed... while I grew thinking they were pretty severe (lets not get into all that... believe me there is plenty of stuff I think IS severe) they actually have quite a tradition (that doesn't do justice... HUGE TRADITION) of helping the less well off in our society and I know from experience A LOT of Catholics I know had big problems with the economic disparity in this country AND (In Arizona and Texas) the Immigration stance of Romney. There are TONS of spanish speaking Catholics and a lot of priests speak spanish even if they aren't of that background. They also have a HUGE PROBLEM WITH LIMBAUGH and what he represents. It came as no surprise Romny lost the Catholic vote AND NOT BECAUSE HES MORMON (well may be some)... it's the issues. DAK
