Actually, the government isn't what will stop the plutocrats, because the government is in bed with the plutocrats. It's you and I, the people, who will stop the plutocrats, the crony-capitalists, and the corrupt. We need to vote with our feet. I do that routinely. Bush was a terrible president and a fiscal profligate, so I voted for Kerry, then Obama. Obama has refused to prosecute criminals, institutionalizing bankster fraud, and has engaged in massive money printing and borrowing instead of gently bending the curve back to fiscal restraint as he promised to do. Therefore, voted against him. We should never reward failure and broken promises.
