Douglas, It seems that you do not expect any cancelations from the rim. I do, and once these cancelations start hitting, I think a real blood bath through wich real bargains might be found will be at hand. I find that not stepping in front of a freight train keeps me in better health. Even if I'll have to buy my position above 23, it would be at a safer time and not too much for a good night sleep.

In all fairness, historic data suggests that in general, you would do better buying semi-equip manufacturer's stock in January than a month earlier. Thus, I can understand Zeev's position - if he misses on CYMER, he'll likely be able to pick a bargain somewhere else. CYMI's problem at the moment is that most fund managers are thinking along the same lines.

That said, I still like CYMI longer term. Once we see commercial size shipments of steppers/scanners with CYMER lasers, there will be plenty of buyers for CYMI stock.
