Salah (and David O'Berry also..<G>). Lemme jump on this one whilst it's hot:

Salah said: >> Let me make my position very clear, I want Novell to be the most prominent software company in the universe, period. Further, I do believe that they have the products and talents to do it. However, they haven't shown the will or fortitude to do it up till now, and when they do I will be first to jump on their bandwagon. Although I don't like to put words on other people mouth, but to the best of my knowledge, this is the same position of Joe, Paul, and several others of the 'Gloomy' bunch. <<

I don't mind you putting words in my mouth my friend. You are absolutely correct (as always).

Regards,

Joe...<David O. ...please read a bit more of the 18000+ posts, and you'll understand better, and "please" continue to post... without me to cause trouble, the scroll rate slows considerably here <G> ... but I'm sure it makes Irene Harvey happy when I don't, right Irene? <grin>>

Salah. PMFJI. BJP1946... take my word for it ... Salah, nor I, nor Paul, nor most of the other "gloomy" people post here to "win" arguments or debates. Believe me on that one. Salah, from a financial standpoint calls it like it is (no playing head games, i.e. invoking shorting etc.), Paul and BP are both IMHO extremely knowledgeable in the marketing area(s). These guy's don't have any hidden agendas.

Beleive it or not, we all want (ed) this company to kick ass and succeed.

They haven't.

Regards,

Joe...<lemme take a shot at the 1946 part, ummm "your birthdate"? That's my year too <g>>

My initials and year of birth.

Don't get me wrong. I respect your attempt to analyze the situation immensely. It's just that I'm coming at it from a different point of view. I'm primarily a trader, although I will stay with a position if it's moving in the right direction. From a trader's vantage point you've got a company with new management, something of a franchise, and a potentially sold out stock.

Frankly, it looks like I may have been wrong in my "trader's" assessment, although I did caution that it would take a few days for the analysts' to finish reviewing and assessing Novell's numbers. The stock has acted awfully heavy the last couple of days.

I still feel that Schmidt wouldn't have made the comment about revenues unless he knew he could beat it. That is public relations 101 and he couldn't have spent all that time at SUNW without learning that.
