XP is most likely the most successful OS they had. But Windows 7 has features I need for certain software to run special features. The day this XP computer has another hardware failure I am retiring it and will use one of my notebooks as my main computer, using my multi-monitor setup.

MS should extend support for XP, at least for another 2 years.

I work for Caterpillar, Inc. They just started updating the computers to Windows 7 in 2012. They started with office people and slowly work their way to people on the factory floor. They have not came close to even completing the transition. As a matter of fact, many of the factor floor programs will not currently work with Windows 7. I can see the entire transition taking all the way to 2014.
