Obama has nothing to lose by going over the cliff. It's automatic tax increases and spending cuts that he wants. He signed Simpson Bowles into law. He is for the cliff. That being said, he doesn't want to anger some people, so after going over the cliff, he will have his minions simply write bills to restore tax cuts to those under $250K. How can the Republicans not go along with such cuts? I think the sequestration for the Dept of Defense is going to stand.
