it looks like this makes the speaker's position stronger against obama. Obama is pushing and the speaker has now shown him he has gone too far. house will not accept a tax increase even for millionaires without cutting spending.

i think it puts more pressure on obama. speaker tried to pass a package and has now demonstrated that even this tax package cannot pass the house.

well,,,,, it can pass the house if obama tells the democrats to vote for it. g
