Boehner is just not as ruthless as Obama....I don't think we would be in such a danged mess if we had someone like Newt in there now..... Where are the Simpson-Bowles supporters?

I'm surprised the repubs haven't hammered away at the negative effect a tax increase has on the economy. Increased taxes take more money out of the economy and slows growth and job creation. Even Obama admitted as much two years ago when he signed the extension of the current rates.
