Hello Julius

My big move into artificial intelligence was to build a qualitative reasoning expert system which the air force used for polymer curing. They reported a 1000:1 payback on the project; cure times of 9 hours dropped to around 2 hours on major composite parts, with extremely good quality control. I know something about manufacturing.

Java is one of those things that comes along and changes one's life. At least, it is changing mine in the sense that my productivity as a programmer has gone way up. The whole idea of distributed, reusable "component" software was originally a very foreign idea to me, but now I cannot imagine why we program any other way. When I am done with my trading systems, they will just be a toolkit of widgets you can plug into a container and configure a trading system any way you like.

Yes, Java is better than expectation.
