I didn't "try" to put anything in anywhere... but I can see how it would look that way if you were totally unaware that "trusts" can be used to save money on your taxes!

"Revocable personal trusts do not typically offer any income tax benefit to the grantor (creator) of the trust, according to the Asset Protection Law Center. The IRS considers these trusts to be an asset under control of the grantor and they are included in his 1040 filing each year. Furthermore, certain types of income are taxable at a higher rate when held inside a revocable trust rather than directly by an individual.

As for the rest... that's very nice for you...it's nice to help others, we seem to agree on that... and no one said there was anything wrong with anything you do, including counting your beans.

That's not what you said.. You mocked me, and called managing and gifting "frequent flyer miles" was Dopey, and SMALL MINDED.. Have you now changed your mind?

"As for your dopey FF analysis, you ARE small minded!!"

OTOH, the fact that you just can't imagine why someone wouldn't count every bean seems a miserable fate to me, but then everyone is different!!

No, I just can't imaging that someone has such a huge "self-importance complex" that they feel their time is so valuable and they are so important that they feel they can not be "impositioned" to make simple provisions that prevent the emotional trauma of probate let alone the financial costs which will allow lawyers to take 3-8% of your assets that should have gone to your children. You mock others that do not suffer from your perverse "self-importance complex" that wish to prevent the emotional and financial costs of probate to their children as "bean counters". Well my friend, if that is your definition, then I am happy to claim I am a bean counter.

In the end.. if you got nothing to count, then you don't have to bothered with things like trusts

And so it goes,
