so is the Patriot Act an example of totalitarian gov't or not? It is very much so. Communism is viewed in the US as a totalitarian methodology of gov't..... get the logic there Jorj? I understand the point that you are trying to make, but you have abandoned logic completely in trying to make it. Which of the following 10 planks do the Republicans not embrace?...as well as the Democrats? I have only been a republican for about nine months. And I only joined the party so that I could vote in the primaries. I have been a registered libertarian for 30 years (since I was 19 years old). I consider the republican party to be very flawed, but I believe that the libertarian influenced politicians have a far better chance of success in infiltrating the republican party than they would the democrat party (which has already been infiltrated by the progressives/socialists). It took the progressives quite a few years to completely take over the democrat party and during that time, they had to compromise their ideology to take the small wins to get to where we are today. I believe that true conservatives (libertarian thinking people) will have to do the same thing if we ever hope to return this country to fiscal and cultural sanity. If you go back and read what you have written tonight, I think that you will see that you have used flawed logic and incorrect assumptions throughout. And in the process, you have made yourself look like an ass.
