Craziness and evil cannot always be prevented.

Even if there were no gun restrictions, sooner or later another kid, or another armed parent - or teacher, or a guard - will shoot up a bunch of kids. That's tragic, but it will happen.

That's how life is. Whenever, Gid forbid, such a thing were to happen, the perpetrator (if still alive) should be tried, convicted, taken out outside - and taken out of his/her misery. Their names should be added to the list of the most despised shits who ever walked this earth. By committing such an act they would be giving evil a bad name. They would forfeit their right, or chance, to be understood. They're just shits. Preferably, nameless shits. That's all there is to it.

This will - tragically but inevitably - happen again in the future. This will happen again, over the years, no matter what we do - or do not do. No ultimate solution exists. We need to do what we can to minimize the damage - and the opportunities for potential perpetrators.
