I agree with you on "Tech Wreck '97". I happen to notice that trends changing direction so fast (or there is a serious lack of any trend at all) by the time I realize one or wait it to confirm itself by T/A it changes direction. I think F/A is also as ineffective for techs at the moment since nobody seems sure of earnings next year. Majority agrees that earnings will slow. OK, but how much. Some say down to single digit, some say 15% is still possible. Then there is momentum factor due to money flow to the market. So all these contradicting factors and indecisiveness cause this volatility.

Well good luck to all of us. I think caution and capital conservation is the name of the game.
