Wireless charging was awesome when I had it on my Palm Pre years ago. Like you, I was convinced that I would never buy another phone without it. I also thought that no one would ever want a phone without it.

What's the electric consumption of the flat Qi wireless charger, and the stand version charger, when they are plugged in and always ready? In kW-Hours.

What are the retail prices of those chargers?
