The Left...... They believe in a fairy land where only nice police and military have guns. And even they should keep them locked up. They are the same people who would like to have a system where people contribute according to their ability and consume according to their needs.

The first thing I thought of when you hear this "cost" excuse is look at air travel. The TSA and all the crap and money wasted didn't phase the left, it suited their control agenda. Take some of that TSA and Homeland Security monies passed out and secure the schools. I would hope we value children more than we do the subsidized airline industry.
