Hi Mozek,

Re. investing in China, recently I purchased Fidelity HK&China fund. Emerging markets are tricky business; one needs the diversification and accessibility of information to succeed--which a private investor seldom has. I decided to leave the driving to the pros.

Japan, however, may be a different story.

Regarding non-techs, I do have quite a few of such beasts in my portfolio: I bought PFE in August this at $52 (when Morgan Stanley downgraded the stock ????)--both LEAPS and commons and the stock has turned in 45% gain when most high techs have declined in that timeframe. I also own CCI in my core holdings.

Energy issues (especially those dealing with natural gas) are unfairly underpriced. You might wish to catch the trough.

Regards,
Ibexx

Hi Mozek,

Re. Investing in China, recently I purchased Fidelity HK $ China fund. The emerging markets are tricky business, one would need the diversification and accessibility to information in order to succeed (which very few private investors possess IMHO), so I decided to leave the driving to the pros.

Japan, however, may be a different story.

As to non-tech stocks, I have about 25-30% equity assets in a variety of financials, energy and drug ocmpanies. Major holdings include PFE which I bought in August at $52 and currently traded at $76-77. I sold all the LEAPS of my energy issues a month ago (HAL, FLC) before the brokerage houses called "HIT", but still own some commons.

SAP of Germany is my currently favorite--just made a new high yesterday when most US high techs tanked big time.

Ibexx
