I would like to second SI Ron's post about portable programs. Every time there is portable version for a program you need - go with portable version. The main reason why I like them so much is - portable programs are not messing with your system! They are not adding gobs of different programs and DDL's to your system folder. They are not adding bunch of code to your registry file. Bottom line, they are not contributing to slowing your system down. If you don't like some portable program, you simple delete it's folder and it is done. I love them!

Thanks Ron, that's a very cool list of portable apps to check out. A nice although not portable free media player I use is "GOM." Some of the features it includes are : Full Screen Stretch Brightness and Contrast controls Instant Replay (A-B Repeat) And many more... gomlab.com * * *
