Absolutely, positively don't hesitate to get a cable modem. I have one and it's incredible. Even Patrick's profile (replete with 1.4M .au files) appeared and played music in seconds.

Now, if Boi deletes his "Schwing" post and Patrick deletes his "Kevin is a rat" post, then you're golden for 10K.

Much cheaper than ISDN, though I'm considering ISDN as backup.

Jeff also has one. Mine comes out to $39 a month but, and Jeff will correct me if I'm wrong, top end speed is 3 MB.

I wait for nothing. Screens fill in the blink of an eye.

You need fiber optic cable...though. Your area may not be equiped with that yet.
