Raising a little cash today with the VIX heading higher again today. Looks like it wants to retest the 20 area again.

I tend to agree with your assessment however I tend to look at the indicators daily to watch for signs of a directional change. What has my attention on the $SPX chart that I posted earlier is the falling histogram bars on the MACD indicator.

I am sure that you know they are pointing to a fall in price and demand. Historically they have moved thru the zero line and continued the fall into the negative red area under the zero line as the price follows in a downward direction.

I am not saying that this has to complete that cycle but it is looking very likely that it will.

2 things lacking confirmation for a big sell off. Dollar and bond yields aren't budging just yet.

VIX spike is all cliff related since last Friday.
