Behavior matters and unlike dying from meteor impacts, what you are doing and how you live affects whether you will be murdered or not.
In some cases, people just going about their innocent business are killed in the inner cities, simply because they are in the wrong place when the shooting starts.

Behavior matters, but in a lot of cases the only "behavior" involved is the behavior of living in a certain place- and the children being killed in the inner cities do not have a lot of choice in the matter. You can read about them being killed every day. But somehow they just don't get the attention of a Newtown- I'm sure their parents figure it's because black children dying in the inner cities don't matter to the public, and they might be right.
