Brian, Here are two articles to support the conculsion that the Asian problem adversly effecting the tech sector is over. The lastest rumor is that Sanders is in Korea to consider an offer from TSM which is willing to by AMD. TSM will get cheap financing for the deal from Korean/Jananesse Banks looking to put all the new cheap money to work as a result of the Korean IMF bailout. TSM might offer as much as $60.00 a share for AMD and assumption of all AMD debt obligations, figuring they can undercut Intel by flooding the CPU chip market with mass production of K-7's complete with state of the art 3d enhanced motherboards utilizing socket 7 technology with offerings of both notebook and desktop offerings. To clean up the deal TSM would sell Vantis to Altera and AMD flash unit back to Fujutsu. Holy cow batman! cnn.com cnnfn.com
