I post facts,,it doesn't work on some people.
plus I'm in a spot that I cannot just posts any number..since some sources i cannot post.
It needs to be in print first. then I can post..
I posted what the market share numbers were per sources in july and aug. it would be difficult to come up with 70% market hsare with the facts I posted. Now that I'm exposed..
I think cpq market share in 1k is 58% for 3q.....
how close am I with 58%???????<ggg> any ideas???
I agree with almost 60%
not 70%..that's a crazy number.
In my final post. I gave him an out..
I said he was mislead by the article and that is natural...
i had been mislead by articles before..
what more can I do.....
I posted the aug and july numbers. and indicated that he just mislead the article that said cpq had 67% of the 1k...
that was 67% of aug...maybe

of course if the article you posted is correct then all the posting to cpq is losing 1k share just makes a stronger case for cpq is gaining in the over k share with that kind of unit growth. and , the FACT that cpq is losing market hshare was obviuos. the 5 or six reports came out last week and most of the thread agreed with them.

I gave up on meathead and jim sunday..
I just joke with them now.
when meathead said "he never asked me where the IDC website was"
and I posted the fact that he had ask me where the website was and posted his post.... then he said "Ohh that, i was just being sarcastic"....So, I gave up right then...
I must have said.."oh, I forget that or I blew the post or mispelled the post,or I made a mistake in the wording, etc. etc a hundred times in my SI tenure..and he couldn't say...
i forgot about that one time....so, I gave up right then.

steve - would you give us the URL to that report or where their
weekly updates are located? I can't seem to find them on the
web... I get them at work so it's hard to tell what portions
are paid for and which are free. If it's free I'd assume
it would be on their web site.

steve - I never asked you where their website was. Any yahoo
can find it. My company gives me access to IDC's Personal Systems service, I am
blocked from some of the other reports where "I don't have a need to know" for my
profession. Obviously, my company does
not pay for each report piece meal but has subscriptions to
the services that are applicable to our business. You are the
one who said it cost's 100k/month... I only said my company spends more than that
monthly. Look it up.

So I'm gonna spare the thread from anymore of this dreadful
argument and say "YOU WIN".... I don't have access to
every-single-report. My access is limited to PC systems
information.... not things like Asia/Pac Printer sales or
semiconductors and the like. That's what I was referring to.. PC info. But until I see an
url for that Nov20 report, I win
that one<gggggggggggg>

What I like to bring to this thread is as much of that information
as possible, in my own words, and through my interpretation,
as I am legally allowed to do.

MEATHEAD

SO, AT THAT TIME...I GIVE UP...
YOU WILL NOT WIN WITH FACTS, YOU WILL NOT WIN BY EVEN POSTING THEIR OWN POST TO SHOW YOUR POINT...
IT'S POINTLESS....

BY THE WAY. DELL LANDED A PRETTY NEAT ACCOUNT AND APPLICATION WITH WALMART AS A VIDEO, CD KIOSK...2000 SERVERS.
