*AV*--I hadn't even though of it that way. TheISDN line comes in as two lines (data and phone) so it has 2 numbers associated with it. I already have 3 phone lines, one of which is being sacrificed to the ISDN line. Therefore, there will be 4 phone numbers associated with our home. I could then dedicate one line for home use, one line for FAX use, and then still have voice/data capabilities for the ISDN line. The cable modem would more than likely be only a $20 savings in ISP providor. Again, I didn't realize that the access was included in the $39 monthly fee. This makes the entire deal even more attractive.

BTW-I posted to Patrick's thread and it did not seem to improve his numbers. We need help.

wait a minute!

how do you get rid of the ISP by having a cable modem, guy? The isp ain't involved with your computer's connection to the internet, but rather with your connection to the internet backbone. Do you get a direct connection to the internet through Sprint in order to bypass the isp when you gt a cable modem?

Wouldn't you need a mail server without an isp? and what about newsgroups? you certainly couldn't put up your own news server. What gives?? Oh yes, and the cost of an extra line here is only $12.

ps, glad I ws able to avoid the rush hour on swaps last night. Looks like it was bumper to bumper and even a few fender benders.

OOPS! ok, just read Andrew's reply, looks like internet access is included in the cable modem monthly fee. NEBERMIND!
