So, now that we're starting to understand that demographics will play a huge role in shaping our future, how do we protect ourselves? What do we do?

First I would say, looking now at the data, the demographic influence is well underway.
The question my family constantly asks is will the dollar hold value. The answer we keep getting is no.

My family and I are investing in appropriate land and residences suitable for farming, defense and survival.
To us, that means we all need to secure water, a large garden, nearby hunting and fishing and similar thinking neighbors who have assets we don't.
That is all easy to find except in cities.

We are also focused on food preservation over winter. We have lived here for only 31/2 years. But local farmers have accepted or adopted us and constantly share their bounty and give us tips and even classes on food preservation.

I'm sending a pound of donated beef jerky to my bro in Afghan tomorrow.

It is all easy for the locals. They have always lived like this. But what they are doing for us is typical American, "country style".

We constantly look for opportunities to return the favors. I think that is important.
