What is your source for the "MOST of the country thinks them folks should be paying higher taxes" statement? If things come out badly on this the republicans will OWN IT.... Not really. The democrats will play their little lame blame game. but it will only resonate with those who are already gullible enough to believe it anyway .. so what does it matter? If we had an actual president in the Oval Office, with an actual spine and brain, this would all have been settled a long time ago. Instead, this nitwit wants to continue the status quo, with him alone at the wheel.
