It is all about control and who will be in control. Will it be irresponsible, self-centered, government by liberal, socialist elitists, or will it be government by free independent citizens? The 2d Amendment is the ONLY thing that ensures the freedom and liberty of citizens from a tyrannical government that believes it knows what is best because the citizens do not have the intelligence to know. They think the poor ignorant masses must be taxed, fed and led by this benevolent socialist elite. I believe they want control of all the guns now because they will run out of money soon, and fear someone may want to hold them accountable.
