Ralph:re: why go down? from previous post, where analyst gives a neutral (read don't buy) rating:" company's pipeline is ill-prepared". Biotech's are considered speculative by most investors. This increases volatility. They trade on their pipeline near-term, and Amgen's is empty. They trade up or down based on info about prospects for products that aren't coming to market for years. A lot of that info gets to analysts and fund managers before it gets to you and me. And a lot of the day-to-day change is meaningless, just noise in the signal. Amgen at 35 in 1998.
