It's called the lost decade. There were winners like John but a whole lot of losers too. Would have been better avoided. Clinton set it up and GWB, Congress and Greenspan sealed the deal. Obama doesn't know how to unwind it as he wants to protect his base classes a bit too much.

Well at least you kids can buy a home for a decent price maybe even some rental property. Probably the only real way to get ahead this next cycle legally unless you are lucky to be in the few professions where you can do quite well going in.
