If you had to recommend one non handgun for home defense, what would it be? AR15 carbine makes an awesome home defense rifle. If you need a shotgun - the KelTec KSG with 14+1 rounds of 12ga is formidable. And if you want a handgun caliber carbine - hard to beat the Beretta CX4 Storm or even a KelTec Sub2K.
