Some of those names put forth in the Wikipedia article are important and many are relatively obscure. I did not say there were no Christians capable of Science. Newton was a Christian--LOL!

The point is that very few scientists will pretend to accept the books of the OT and the NT as actual history. Clearly, all the biblical books are riddled with childish myths and absurdities and contradictions. Only an idiot would believe there was no rain until after the flood. And no rainbows. Only an idiot would believe in the flood. Only an idiot would believe that Egyptian magicians could create life out of nothing. Only and idiot would believe that dinosaurs are only 6000 years old but that no historian had ever heard of them. Only an idiot would believe that the earth is the same age as the universe--etc. etc. etc.

Listing a few scientists who perhaps follow one or another of the 35,000 Christian sects does not argue against favoring superstition and myth over science. Indeed, it supports my position that there are scientists who favor superstition and myth.

Or do you claim that a 6000 year old earth and language beginning at the "Tower of Babel" is anything other than myth and nonsense??

Stanley Jaki priest and Distinguished Professor of Physics at Seton Hall University, New Jersey, who won a Templeton Prize and advocated the idea modern science could only have arisen in a Christian society

Did Christians invent the wheel too?? lol

That's really rich, lets give that priest some pink spun cotton candy for a prize but this learned fool needs to stop drinking his own cool aid. One can not think of any proposal thats more ignorant, more stupid & more idiotic than this. When one thinks of the great Medieval Gothic architecture being passed down from earlier Romanesque & Byzantine designs of the stone arch & flying buttress with all the added masonry , cements ,mortar & scaffolding techniques. ( not to mention the quarry & mining techniques)

Just forgetting all the inventions of geometry , time & measruements, mathematics & astronomical observations of the Greeks for a moment,( which included measuring the circumference of the earth & distance to the spherical moon) just what did the Christian builders do when their Cathedrals were were falling down? When those vaulted ceiling arches they built were too high & unsupported ?

Since these Medieval "Christian" buggers didn't have the ability to work iron bar in any volume what did they do to solve their little problem here but drawing back again to the Ancient Greek techology of the water~wheel trip hammer. Hydraulic powered hammers using wooden cam & gear, they rediscovered used to forge the huge iron interlocking chains that stopped their vaulted holy cathedrals from falling down.

This stupid priest should know all this technology was already known in the Greco Roman world back to 300bc & over in China too, now try spinning that. That they preserved as much of the knowledge they could of that world, thank heaven that not all was destroyed by the early Christian knee jerk numbskulls and thanks also goes over to the Islamic centers of learning that saved many manuscripts to give back the idiots later.

* Of course if one pushes the fantastical "truth" that this new deified "Jesus God" was there before he became a little baby in the virgin's womb, we could attribute the invention of the wheel & the first log canoes to him, after all God invented everything first.
