Republicans don't seem to understand that unfettered population growth is the root cause of many of the world's problems. They say they value human life but they always strive to devalue it by making it common. Why are grains of sand worth less than diamonds? They have become the party of greed and misery. A smaller and smaller percentage of the population acquiring the nations wealth while destroying the social fabric. As this is applied world-wide with a population of 7 billion people we will crowd out most other living things, especially the large mammals, except for our pets and food. When the populations of India and China are all driving Buicks much of what is special in nature will have been destroyed. IMHO.
