Good morning Wiz, In answer to your question about ATP: Among the the specific high-energy compounds found in the body are adenosine triphosphate (ATP), uridine Diphosphate (UDP) and creatine phosphate(CP), ATP is of universal occurrence in body cell and is regarded as the storage form of immediately available energy for cell reactions ATP is a nucleotide containing three phosphate radicals, the last two of which are attached to the rest of the molecule by high-energy bonds (~). The energy of the bond is transmitted to a particular cellular reaction by transferring the entire phosphate radical to another compound , in the process known as phosphorylation.
