Funny thing about The Arms of Krupp is that its main narrative is to tell the story of the Krupp family and the evolution of their company. The most enlightening part for me, though, was how clear it was that the arms business is just another profit machine. They just innovated and invested and readily sold to whatever entity had the funds to spend on their products. The book reads like they could have been making and selling beer, but the externalities ended up being a lot more destructive.
